Baby Changing Facilities

The practice has a baby changing unit in the ground floor disabled toilet.

Disability Access

We embrace the principles of the Disability Act. We have limited parking outside both surgeries for disabled parking, flat level access, relevant toilet facilities and raised seating in patient waiting rooms.

Computers/Technology

The practice continues to invest heavily in Information Technology. We have recently replaced almost half our computers with new ones and undergone a major software upgrade to our clinical system to keep up with new technology. We hope these changes will bring benefits to many aspects of your care. The Practice can now receive results directly from the pathology laboratory at Chesterfield Royal Hospital in a much shorter time.

SMS Text Messaging Service

We now offer a new text messaging service to all our patients.

Opting in to this service will allow you to receive:

  • Appointment reminders- for pre-booked appointments
  • Review reminders – if you have a long-term condition such as Diabetes, Asthma, Heart problems, high blood pressure etc we will invite you to attend the surgery for a review.

If you would like to opt into this service please ask at reception for a consent form or download one here and return it to the practice with your correct mobile phone number.

It is important to keep your contact details up to date , please inform the surgery should any of your details change.

Practice Intranet – to help improve communications within the practice and attached staff.

Practice website – aimed at offering patients comprehensive information about the surgery, including secure online repeat prescription ordering service.

Voice Recognition Software – to aid doctors in their work.

Computer Memory Upgrade – to increase the speed of the computerised systems.
